  1. Thanks for the info - are you typically running in interactive console or service 'backgroound' mode?
  2. Does anyone else see large volumes of unknown DVAR errors in their console (specifically the ones I pasted in the message above)? I'm just worried that maybe I corrupted a file or two during upload - or are these errors 'normal'? Thanks!
  3. Servers seem to be running nicely - for the most part. Anyone seeing random lag spikes? The only thing I can correlate it to from the COD console is regular dvar error messages like below: WARNING: unknown dvar 'bg_shock_volume_ambient' in file 'shock/damage_mp.shock' WARNING: unknown dvar 'bg_shock_volume_hurt' in file 'shock/damage_mp.shock' WARNING: unknown dvar 'bg_shock_volume_player1' in file 'shock/damage_mp.shock' WARNING: unknown dvar 'bg_shock_volume_player2' in file 'shock/damage_mp.shock' WARNING: unknown dvar 'bg_shock_volume_music' in file 'shock/damage_mp.shock' I havent had regular complaints, just random ones so I wanted to check and see if anyone else is experiencing intermittent spikes. I know it's not network because I have IP monitoring turned on as well as other logging, and I would expect to see latency in logs, but don't when these complaints are made. Also, are most of you running this interactively or in the background -any recommendation between the two? Thanks!
  4. I saw reference to ColoCrossing in this thread and wanted to ask some questions to current clients. //now back to COD4 support - sorry for hijack.
  5. The old 'car won't make a sound when you take it in to the mechanic' trick. As soon as I posted, the customer said it showed, so I am going to mark it up to Master server issues, lol. Thanks for the quick replies!! Much love to the community... Also... I am going to open a thread re: Colocrossing in another section - would like some feedback. Thanks, all!! **edit - actually after reading posting rules - i'll refrain from asking about CC. If anyone has experience they'd like to share with CC, maybe share emails? thanks **
  6. Has anyone had issues with some servers not showing up in the browse list? I've made sure that firewall rules are not blocking queries, etc. Ideas? Thanks!! Jarvis
  7. As usual - thanks ECF! I was beginning to pull hair!
  8. Thanks for the config, guys! I do have a problem, though. It seems I can only get the game to launch if I install it via the id installer. If I try and create a service unsing the zipped install files, the server executable does not start. If I install the game through the installer on that box, it starts - no matter the executable's location. I'm guessing a registry entry, or profile directory? I figured I would come here to see if anyone else ran into this and solved it already - or have I just zipped the install files incorrectly (missing something). Thanks again for the help!!
