  1. Got 3 working servers up. Not gonna bother with ports, I'll just leave it standard and give everyone different ip's.
  2. You're wrong, if you have the files you don't even have to own the game.
  3. OMG, Perfect! I was already creating a service to run steam on my servers as SYSTEM, otherwise it didn't work with the tcadmin servers, lol.
  4. By tests obviously. Don't think they care enough to tell us about it.
  5. Confirmed, you HAVE to run steam in order for the servers to show in the list. The account doesn't need to own the game though. Luckily I have some spare accounts in my back pocket.
  6. I found the issue, or atleast, i think I did. When running the server trough steam it shows up in the list, once you shut down steam and start the server, it doesn't. So it seems like there's some sort of steam authentication going on in the back-end anyway.
  7. I think it has something to do with the US master servers, cause I only see EU and russian servers in the list and I'm pretty sure they aren't limiting it by continent.
  8. Does it say that it cannot connect to the steam master servers but still shows it, or is it able to connect to the master servers?
  9. But what are the port settings you used to get your server online?
  10. no, queryport is for public servers, port for private. masterserverport is the actual queryport
  11. *snip* forums didn't reload correctly so i didn't see the replies.
  12. You just need steam to download the files, the server can run without.
  13. I see servers in the list, but they all seem european, so I'm installing a European server now to see how the master server respond there.
  14. Apparently there is no multi-home compat, so you'll have to work off of different installs.
  15. Could we see the port settings as shown when it's starting?
  16. I don't even see them, due to the steam master servers not working apparently it goes back to LAN.
  17. Yup, it's completely random... Good going IW. Now it can't find the steam master servers.
  18. Are you sure you're responding to my error? I don't see why that would fix it and it also didn't.
  19. Yes, my upstream is not enough on my dedicated gigabit line server... If I was causing this error I wouldn't be posting it here.
  20. Ah, still not working though, I get this "Invalid server configuration - insufficient upstream bandwidth". Telling me I have 0 upstream bandwidth.
  21. Looks like we'll have to find a way to make it run start_map_rotate when the server is running.
  22. Changing the other ports seems to work fine for me using the commands in the arguments in the server.cfg, but you have to do it in the commands line obviously. Correct!
  23. Just use the COD4 config and change the config files and launch file.
  24. It seems to start fine for me. It also has the ip options and such set correctly. Too bad I can't test it yet. I think it should work, I based it off of CoD4.
