Thanks for spreading the love, man

Yeah i agree. I am able to get it to run, stupid console starts with an error but its actually running, just shows you how poorly developed this is. And yeah the cpu utilization is horrible.
-
Has anyone had success running Breach servers? I have had mixed success, able to run sometimes on server03 and 08 but sometimes when the exe starts up it just shuts right down. Seems like its missing or looking for a video card, similar to how lead and gold first started out.
-
At max players (12) each instance uses maybe 3% cpu load on a quad machine.
-
Currently running a couple of test instances now. Seems to be very low, even at max players which is 12. Mem useage is low too.

Care to share your tca config with the rest of us

Does anyone know if the public dedicated files have been released yet? I have the game from steam, so i know i can run it of those files but wanted to see if the dev company will be releasing public files, making it easier to update if needed. Thanks!

Jason, your kinda going about it the wrong way. Do this, put the minecraft_server.exe file in a folder, now start it up. Then exit out of it, when it starts up it will populate all the files needed, since it didnt have it before. What you need to have TCA run is the .bat file NOT the .exe file. Do that and you should be good to go.
-
Default is uses 1024M. But that can be adjusted.

hey guys, im seeing a WARNING Can't Keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Any idea? Servers are working but i just get this error randomly.
-
That is...unless you have the ubber skills that dimitrifrom has lol.
-
Alright, so download the jar file from the minecraft.net site and the bat will use that? Ill give that a shot. The thing why i didnt do it, is because when i run the minecraft.exe file, it creates the files and it also creates the jar file which the bat did not use.
-
Actually, thats not true. The .bat file runs the old version. From what im seeing the only way to run the new update is from the minecraft_server.exe. Thanks
-
Alright fellas. New update for minecraft alpha. Getting a funky error during start up. IF I START THE MINECRAFT_SERVER.EXE FROM TCADMIN I GET THIS: [WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT! [WARNING] The exception was: java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind [WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port? If i start it up from the minecraft_server.exe DIRECTLY, no issues. I have even speficied the port/ip on the server.properties file. Any idea? I had no issues until this new update came out which now runs from the .exe and not the .bat file since the .bat file no longer exists.

Yeah, cant find a way to limit what can be changed via the config editor. I can disable FTP/File Manager but they can just go to the config and edit and save changes.
-
Thats an idea but im not sure if i want to switch to unrestricted slots for this server or not. Ok how do i limit what can be accessed through the config edittor?
-
This im also curious about. How do we block access to change the slot size in the server.properties file, but allow other changes, like MOTD, server name, etc.
-
I agree, it takes about 2 minutes or so to create the config.
-
So just to make sure, you mean to say create the cfg file and put the same text thats in the server.properties in that file? And use that as the main cfg/default cfg file right? i already have java running, as i can run the servers from within the machine but just not through tca.

This game is starting to get pretty popular and i wanted to know if anyone had a working config for this game? Thanks!
-
So...i followed the directions in the blog to start AS without having steam running. Copied all file over, used the credited TCA config but im not able to start the server at all. Am i missing something?
-
So here i was i got back from Fat Shark: You can run several instances per host as long as each instance has it's own interface to bind to using the -ip_address parameter Let me know if you guys are able to get it to work.
-
15kb....goodness......

Alright, i got one working. If you got one, let me know too...we can compare notes haha. Hidden and Dangerous 2.txt
