well i have set up a config, and the game server creates, it appears as an active server in my tcadmin, but doesnt ping through steam / hlsw

iv done what has been said in this thread, but dedicated server still wont work

 

any ideas / little tutorial?

All i did was change my application directory to this (edited out folder name but ud get the idea)

 

C:\UserFiles\ADMIN\GameServers\xxxxxxxxxxxx\orangebox\srcds.exe

 

and left the other directories as they are. I basically just copied how the tf2 files were set up and changed my config accordingly for CSS.

I have users who run gameservers off my tcadmin, and there servers are currently active ect. The user has requested that could he have the reinstall button added to his account / for his servers. I dont mind him having this option, but i have no idea how to grant him that access.

 

Help would be appreciated

I have a problem

 

server fps is about 24-35 max, i have fpsbooster running, +fps_max 500 in commandline, fps_max 500 in server.cfg, -tickrate 66 in command line and sv_maxupdate/cmdrate ect all set.

 

But i still get 35 max server fps and no more than 30 tick thorugh to the clients.

 

My setup is a quad xeon 2.4, 180GB HDD, 4GB RAM, colocated box. Client fps (graphics) are fine and pings are fine, but every receives stutter / low server fps.

 

My css servers are running at 512fps, tf2 servers are running at roughly 400 fps, its just L4D2 thats the problem

 

Any help?

Its a problem with l4d2, not the config makers.

 

If you have sv_password "password"....the server wont query. So you need to use the same command, just without the quotations. Works fine for me
