AMD or Intel?

I am on a buget and I would really appreciate some help on the type of server I should invest in. Here are my options:

 

 

 

1. P4 3Ghz, 1GB ram

 

2. AMD 64+ 3500, 1GB ram

 

 

 

I am planning to get a windows server although I would prefer linux for obvious reasons. I am just unsure of how to link it as remote server to the master windows server using TCadmin.

 

 

 

I will be hosting as many CSS servers as I can and maybe a few other games and I would be interested in which of these servers you think would cope best with the least lag and how many servers you think each could support.

As Dan mentioned either server would handle about the same but have you considered going with Dual Core machines instead? Prices should be about the same as what you listed but performance would be much better..

okay it might also be that I'm just against Pentium4 ever since I got my first AMD earlier this year....... but yeah, take the AMD

 

 

 

We only work with AMD X2 from 4200+ to 4800+ =)
