I ran windows update on my Windows Server [server 2012 R2] and now my remote server cannt connect and generated the error:

The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.

I disabled the firewall on the remote server to see if it was a port issue, but same error happens.

Luis comes to the rescue!

Hi, do this on both servers:

- go to start > run and execute mmc

- add the certificates snap-in for the computer account.

- Expand Certificates > Personal > Certificates.

- Delete the certificate created by tcadmin. It's the only certificate that has the same name as the computer.

- Restart the monitor. It should create a new certificate with the updated encryption that is required by the update.
