Bubka3
Hey, just curious if anyone has started deploying any Server 2019 machines? How are game servers performing on those? *whistles* totally didn't steal this from my 2016 thread
TroyT
I'd like to know this as well.
Dennis
Some definitely have. Some had issues as first, hence why this was created: https://help.tcadmin.com/Compatibility_with_Windows_10_and_Windows_Server_2019 I can't say anything about performance though, but I couldn't imagine it's worse than it is in 2016. stormwench
I have been deploying on 2019 as we are upgrading hardware but am taking it slow. Once you can get the game server working the performance is definitely a major improvement but 2019 has some issues with TCA and so you run into issues where you have to have a server set up user profile by command like before the .exe runs in most cases and its having some issues with some of the protocols. Bubka3
It's a shame they gimped Interactive Services Detection Service in 2016 and completely nuked it in 2019. It was a useful feature imo.
conceptr980
We are using Windows 2019 and i dont see much of a difference in performance compared to 2016 except the interactive services and its solved by using https://help.tcadmin.com/Compatibility_with_Windows_10_and_Windows_Server_2019
Bubka3
I'm working on a new installation / new machine (due to upgrade) and so far running Windows Server 2019 has been ok. The only change is in my workflow. I'd troubleshoot by looking at interactive services. Now I just do cmd run as. TCAdmin service settings gives you the commands for this if you click Preview in there.
