Unable to create tables during install

Well, maybe not all tables....

 

 

 

When creating the database, with mysql 4.1.11 running on a remote (another box on the subnet), with all permissions needed to create tables in that database, when creating the table tc_homepage_icons, I get the error:

 

 

 

[HYT00] Specified key was too long; max key length is 1000 bytes.

 

 

 

any idea what I did wrong?

Oh, and its also doing it on tc_subuser_icon_security with the same error... Probably more, I just haven't clicked okay yet.
