How many servers could I run with my dedicated server?

 

Here are my specs:

 

Dual Processor Dual Core Opteron 2212 - 2.0GHz - 4 x 1MB cache

4 GB DDRII Registered 667

1 x 73GB 15k RPM SA-SCSI

 

Here are the following games our clan plays:

 

Counter-Strike 1.6

CS Condition Zero

CS Source

Depending on the mods and tickrates and such, you should be able to get approx 250 slots total. Give or take a few, I do not host many of these games, maybe someone who does more of them will post their recommendations.

Mods are going to be your biggest killer they can eat that up really quickly. Straight game provided there is nothing else running on the box, I would say probably about 150 active slots. But you can probably over book it, I doubt everyone of your servers is going to be full at once. The thing that kills is that you’re looking at running both HL and HL2 games. For some reason the two seem to eat up a bit more resources each when combined on a box with the other.

I can host about 250 active slots of COD on a similar machine with mods. But I also try to keep cpu usage below 40%.
