tcngs
My windows 2003 Server looks like it is loosing the network. Right before it will not reply to pinging it get this message in the event viewer The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer MYSERVER that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_{6308E455-0AD8-4871-. The master browser is stopping or an election is being forced. Then it does not respond, I can have the data center restart this server and it comes up fine. Any one know how I can correct this issue or point me in the right direction?
Travis Bickle
I was having the same problem, but it was specific. If you are using the broadcom BCM5708C NetXtreme II GigE (NDIS VBD Client) network interface, then you need to update the drivers to Broadcom's latest driver(s). Using the default windows driver(s) causes constant network drops.
