Dr. Kitteny Berk
Right, this has me stumped, I'm not sure if this is a new issue (as the server is only a couple of weeks old) but... Everything appears to be fine, but downloads from my server are getting corrupted (the files are fine on the server) The issue appears to exist on FTP and HTTP, I've tested with both IIS and a vanilla apache install, but the issue remains. also, downloading from the server to the server doesn't corrupt downloads. Beyond that, network function appears to be fine, game servers aren't lagging or showing any issues, my colo provider confirms there's no network issues. I'm pretty much at a loss as to what could be causing it, problem exists on ports 21,42,80 and 8080 and across IIS and apache. There's no firewalls etc on the server and the network gubbins are vanilla. Any ideas? edit: oops. 2k3 x64, Q6600, 8 gig'o'ram, p35 based mobo. Dr. Kitteny Berk
sounds like checksum offloading is causing corruption.. install newer proset drivers.. Bingo, I hadn't thought about that, but network drivers fixed it, as far as I can tell, anyway.
