hardware requirements

Hi all

 

hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, i have been asked by one my directors to re-look into offering gaming servers, with our own racks / hardware in london, uk we feel it would make a nice addition to our other services.

 

I have looked at several other gaming panels, but this one still appears to be the most sensible option to go with.

 

the servers we would be using would be 2 xeon processors with dual cores (2.6ghz / l2 4mb) 4 Gb of ram, sata drives

 

now my question is, what type of performance would we be looking to get out of a standard server like that ? for example, if we looked at COD4, how many slots / games per server would we be looking at each machine to handle ?
