tcngs
I found this article about the comparison http://www.pugetsystems.com/articles.php?id=23 and is shows that a dual 3.2 vs a dualcore 3.2 perform about the same, but I just wanted to know if any of you had any experiance with the two different types and if there was any performance difference? xpservers
We switched from Dual Xeon 3.2 to Core2Quad and AMD Phemon X4 and I can confirm that we are getting better performance and resource useage with the Quad Cores. Also they are cheaper to build and use less power at DataCenters. Alot of benefits.
tcngs
For your phenom servers, are you using dual or just single cpu's? Thanks

xpservers
After 2 months of experimenting with both Phenom and Q6600 i prefer the Q6600. I notice with the phenom performance degration on CSS and 1.6 550 FPS servers when the peak load hits 40%. With the Q6600 i can go to 60% without any FPS fluctuation. Both boxes running the same amount of servers and hardware is very similar on both.
