jointopz
Hey guys im having a problem with a lag spike every 5 minutes or so on any tf2 server i run through tcadmin. I have tried turning the system monitoring off game server monitoring off all other servers on the box shutdown, and still happens. My system specs are: Q6600 4 gigs DDR2 250Gb HD Windows 2003 server x64 Im using the Team Fortress 2 config file from the one posted in the configuration file forums posted by ecf. http://clientforums.tcadmin.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=309&d=1191851411 I have installed the TF2 server on just the system alone and it works fine. When installed with Tcadmin the problem comes back again. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

adamnp
Hey bud, would you mind posting what you did to solve your issue? There is currently another thread here with another user having the same symptoms you did, maybe what you did could possibly help him.

Dan M
As Scsiborg stated, we are having a similar issue. We have tried it on a server with FPS lock on.. no luck and a server without FPS lock on.
scsiborg
Hi guys, ive found the problem myself - it relates to NOD32 antivirus, be sure to dissable it when you start the server up for the first time if you experience these problems, it appears that srcds writes back to a load of files the first time it is run - allowing it to do so appears to fix this issue - also changing tf2's compatibility mode to Halflife2 can help also. attack1
I know this is going to be a noobish question. I am having query issues as well for TF2. Where exactly do I change the "compatibilty mode"? I see a compatibility line in the server config but it has a number. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance Jeff
studeggle
Admin Home > System Settings > Supported Games > TF2 Details The 12th box down is game compatability.
