Radmin 3.2 viewing processes

Radmin 3.2 is out and it now supports Windows 2008 but it is no better than remote desktop you still cannot view the processes running on the server.

If anyone comes up with a work around please let me know. Having a server that you cannot see what the applications running on it are doing sucks.

Do you mean how the task manager doesnt show the game server processes?

If thats what you mean on your computer go:

Start --> Run --> mstsc /admin

Then log on. This way you can see the processes.

Also if /admin doesn't work try mstsc /console. Im on vista and I think microsoft randomly changed it to /admin in vista service pack 1.

Hope that helps,

Ah, it appears session 0 is no longer interactive in server 2008 so /console and /admin are useless.

http://blogs.msdn.com/ts/archive/2007/12/17/changes-to-remote-administration-in-windows-server-2008.aspx

Scroll down to "Why the /console switch is no longer needed."

Supposedly "built-in capability in Windows Server 2008 and in Windows Vista enables the user to view and to interact with the session 0 UI from the user’s session." However, this doesn't seem to be happening for you.

You should try this and try again:

"Because the physical console session is never session 0, you can always reconnect to your existing session on the physical console. Reconnecting to your existing physical console session is controlled by the "Restrict Terminal Services users to a single remote session" Group Policy setting, available in the Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Terminal Services\Terminal Server\Connections node of the Local Group Policy Editor. You can also configure this setting in the UI by using Terminal Services Configuration. (The Restrict each user to a single session setting appears under Edit settings, in the General section.)"

Logging in normally. Then while on your session, restart your service in interactive mode. In the system tray should be a windows notification that when opens looks something like this: http://www.alex-ionescu.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/session0detect.jpg

If that doesn't work the problem lies with TCADMIN.
