hello,

 

i have decided to go it alone and rent my dedicated servers directly from a datacentre instead of going through a game server provider which will save me some money. But i dont know much when it comes to installing servers so i have been looking for somethin to make it easier for me to manage the gameservers.

 

im planning on renting 2 dedicated servers possibly 3 depending on what specs i go for on each machine. And i would like to have a controll panel for approx 13 game servers and beable to manage them all in one place also i dont want everyone to have acess to all the servers so would need different login info for each game server, also i dont know if this would be possble to setup some sort of ticket system which me and 2 others could monitor for clanmates to request things doing on the servers.

 

can somone tell me what i will need please? i think i would need to rent and install the master and remote software. but im not sure.

You will need the master on one box and then a remote for any other boxes. TCAdmin has a ticketing system built into it. Take a look at the demo and try both the demo administrator and the demo user accounts.

The setup that you have asked for is very possible.

 

You would need a Master licence, (this is basicly the main part) It contains the control panel. Then for each other dedicated server you would need a Remote licence. Basicly links the servers to the Master server so the control panel can manage all the servers.

 

Once you have the basic setup installed such as the Master and remote licences, you then would need to source the game files. Quite alot are available free online such as HL/HL2 Games but games such as COD4 you have to purchase the game.

 

When setting up game servers from within your TCAdmin panel you can assign users of your choice and can create them from the 1 screen.
