Team Fortress 2 Game Configuration Files

Complete Noob here..

Testing TCAdmin out, i've installed Team Fortress 2. However in the game list under Gaming services I go try to add it to the panel. Its now showing up.

 

I've read over a several several threads and i'm tired I could only find out how to make COD4 Show up

How did you install the TF2 files on your server? See http://esupport.tcadmin.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=2&nav=0

 

Then make sure you zip it up keeping the directory structure intact.

Before I got TCadmin I was installing the game servers manually with the HLDSupdatetool via command line.

 

Then creating a FTP root directly to the files.

 

 

After installing TCAdmin I had a source server and a TF2 server installed already.

TCAdmin let me add the source server directly to it and start it.

 

The TF2 Server isn't showing up in the list to add it.

I think i've spent more time trying to fix issues with tcadmin rather than the games running smoothly.

TCAdmin Wikipedia would be great

 

However, thanks for the software, but manual installations seem to work better with out any underlined issues.

Like previously said this is not 1st point of support.

 

This is a users forum where we help each other get the best from the product. So basicly the issue is that you have a game installed outside of TCAdmin and are trying to get tcadmin to reconise it?

With the limited and confusing info he has posted here, I am thinking TF2 is not showing up in his list of games to install.

 

If this is the case, make sure the filename and the "Game Files Folder Name" in "Supported Games" are the same.

 

If they are and they are installing and then not running, make sure you have ticked "interact wirh desktop", and see what it tells you on the desktop. The commaon problem here is your directory structure not matching with the TCA config.

Thanks Doug, I said previously TF2 wasn't showing up in my list of games to install so it wasn't limited information.

I was confused tho as to what exactly your problem was

Yea, I had to move away from the PC away after a day of programming as I was getting very furstrated. So far, installation has been good and I think my problem was I wasn't creating the games in the GameInstalls.

 

But my isssue was I wasn't seeing Team Fortress 2 when I clicked gaming services and selected new services. I'm in the process of installing the files in the GameInstalls now so maybe it will show up
