RackGaming
Hello Everyone, Just a quick question here. Im expanding our range of game servers however I'm slightly confused and hoping that someone can help shed light on this issue. Following Location: Admin Home > System Settings > Supported Games > CSS Details Admin Home > System Settings > Supported Games > COD4 Details Regarding IP and Port Settings: Default Port Default Query Port Default RCON Port Okey so up until now I always thought that each game uses a unique Game Port. However I have just noticed that TF2 and CSS use the exact same "Default Port" which is the game port 27015. Now i know you can and should change this port by increments as you install more game servers however when you do should you change the Query Port & RCON Port's aswell? Additionally I know that COD4 servers that get populated quickly are those on certain ports different to the games default port, Does this apply to CSS and other HL1 and HL2 based engines? Any input would be great, please help an idiot who has only just figured this out after 1 year 6 months of hosting purely COD4 servers Thanks! RackGaming
Hey Guys, Another Question, What would happen if you installed CSS 27015 and TF2 27015 on the same IP Addresss? Would both games still work & populate or would one of these be affected?
Jaggl
Tcadmin looks before it installs a Gameserver if there is a Gameserver with the Default Port, he will install the other Gameserver with the Port Increment Ports So you can set on both Games the Default Prots, that would be no Problem.
