Cluster solutions for game hosting

I wonder whether anybody tried using clusters to host for example source or cod4 servers. I guess it does not support multithreading but there probably could be some other benefits from hosting such servers in a cluster.

 

I know for sure that AA servers are hosted in clusters...

 

Any opinions or experience?
