Might be a good time to pick up one mid-late December. Been meaning to put an upgrade in my PC for a while.

Just ordered an E8400 (dual core), but those Q6600 are pretty good. A lot of processing power. But I don't really do any video editing or 3d rendering so all that power wouldn't help me much.

Yes but they have Q8x00 that looks pretty good

It's seems that Q8200 is a little better than Q6600 at same price.
