Server CPU Base and RAM - Compatibility issues?

I recently purchased a server and the dell website is ticking me off.

The day i purchased the server with a

Quad Core Intel® Xeon® X3360, 2.83GHz, 2x6MB Cache, 1333MHz FSB

The websites mini popup told me that i couldnt purchase a

(4GB) 4 x 1GB Memory, DDR2, @ "800MHz" even though it was highlighted in green as "Recommended"

I was forced to choose a (4GB) 2 x 2GB Memory, DDR2 @ "667MHz"

First of all i wanted the rams to be @ 800mhz, today i try out the same Base with the ram on the Dell website with no issues? So why was i forced to go with a lower performing RAM when infact 4gb @ 800mhz was actually fine with the same base?

When it highlighted that the RAM's being @ 800mhz wasnt compatible with the chosen BASE i thought it was rather strange... maybe i was missing something.. but today it happens to accept 800mhz?

Ideally i wanted it to be 4 x 1GB but i was again forced to go with two sticks instead of four.

My server arrived today, is there anything i can do about this?

Cheers
