swish
Any ideas why a 4 slot server would magically shoot itself to an 8 slot server with zero human interaction...using the tca config form here...slots are in the command line...it runs 4 for a while fun then poof up to
ptadmin
I think its because it switches to a versus map instead of a coop map. L4D is a game that seems to be very shady to run and just seems they could have done a bit more to make it better to run as an admin. I only offer 8 slot now cause of that exact pain in the butt issue. Plus 4 slots is just hard to sell at under 10 dollars really doesnt make much business sense so 8 slots it is LOL. swish
Thanks for that insight. I will probably do the same and move it to just simply 8 slots. Who wants to play on a 4 slot server anyways...lol. Thanks for your reply.

KingJ
We initially sold our severs as 4 slots (for £6), but when we found we where unable to limit it to 4, we just bumped our offering to £8 for 8 - it doesn't use much more CPU or RAM, just more bandwidth. It can now be limited via the sv_gametypes command, but we found that 8 for 8 was a much better deal for all our customers than the previous offering.
