pjdaley
I am wanting to move the master server from one dedicated server to another. Is is as easy as installing the master server on the remote server? I mean, is it as simple as installing master server, use master server license, good to go? swish
You will need to request TCAdmin to clear your IP of your old box attached to your license.
pjdaley
well, the server that had the main server is now well, dead. How to I make the remote the master and have it auto find the servers that are already there?
Admin-Nation-Servers
I think this is what you mean. You are trying to move the master to a -> remote and put the remote on the old master comp. 1. Tcadmin services will be gone you will have to manually add each server with the corresponding remote/master (What I mean by is that the actual computer services for that Game Server will be gone, not on the database). Ah, gotcha. What I am actually doing is moving away from windows servers, I will keep 1 around in case I need it for some odd reason, and one of the reasons is for the master TCADMIN license/web server, but in the past 7 days I have migrated 6 servers from Server 2008 to Linux, and couldn't be happier
