Derek
I would like to hear who uses auto setup for there game servers. If you use it why do you do so ? If you don't use it why don't you use it ? Go Go Go.
Jesse
We won't be using it because we can develop a nice checkout form with a lot more options and dependencies. Everyone gets text notifications to their cells for new orders so set-up times are <5 minutes anyways.

I'd rather our support team setup the systems accurately than a system setting it up and not knowing what it's done
Jesse
I forgot to mention load balancing benefits.
Defcon|Rich
Same here. Never really trusted the whole automated setup thing.. We use it for voice servers since we get so many per day but the games are all done manually.
KingJ
We use it since there isn't always someone around to process the setup. As soon as someone orders the server and the payment has cleared autosetup will kick in. We've not had any issues with it since setup and for some of the smaller games it can be really be quite fast. Dan M
I suppose auto-setup on voice servers is feasible, but for the ever-changing gameservers which involve slightly more configuration within command lines and what-not, it doesn't seem ideal. -- It's nice to see that you've had no issues with auto-setup yet KingJ
KingJ
We've been using autosetup for ~9 months now. What sort of issues have you had Dan?
Dan M
Ah, I've just heard a few bad things about it going wrong which is why I've never used it. I'm a big chicken and wouldn't like anything to happen with auto-setup. It's probably just nothing much but I'd rather see my clients servers being setup manually with no issues than some system take control over it and has control to terminate servers from the billing side, along with creating them. Also load-balancing issues as stated above, systems cannot always be accurate Just my POV

Later, my browser crashed and when it restored the tabs it of course reloaded the WHMCS page which then terminated their other server (which they wanted). Oops. I'm always very careful on which page of WHMCS I idle on now.
