Dan M
So you'd like to run a WoW server? I think you'll find that's illegal.

studeggle
Each game is different. 1. You must pick a game 2. Use your favorite search engine (for most that is http://www.google.com hence the joke above) and or sites you already visit that focus on that game. 3. Read up on how to run a server for that game 4. Grab a copy of the files. (Where to get files varies based on the game, some have dedicated server files others just use game files. Some have downloads available others require you to go buy the game) 5. Place the files on one of you systems and begin trying to apply what you read. 6. If you get stuck ask an intelligent question. IE include game in question, what you have done allready, what is happening, any error messages, and details on the system you are trying to run it on. Questions of how to be a game host, or how to host games.... are pointless and just make others think you are not ready to host games.

What else do i need or what do i do next... i don't think you can open your own private WoW servers. that is illegal as well. Even if you host your own diablo private server that is also illegal. can't you actually create game in diablo? WoW i believe you got to play in their server. anything with SERVER FILES can be hosted .
SickPuppy
Some things you will need 1. The server files for the game you wish to host 2. A game control panel, I recommend TCAdmin 3. A website with a shopping cart 4. Billing software, I recommend WHMCS 5. A dedicated server either rented or owned and Colocated, I recommend Colo 6. A technical support staff, a few friends that can help 7. Lots of time to dedicate to the business
