Hi there,

Is it any different between 2008 server standard VS 2008 server standard R2 when running gameservers?

I suppose 2008 server standard have kernel timer @ 1000 Fps like R2?

I know TCA have an issue with interact with desktop in 2008 and R2?

Thanks :)

No, theres not a substantial difference for game server hosting. They are built on the same kernel. However, R2 includes improved hyper-v with live migration, which doesn't really apply to game servers, but a nice feature. Tons of other small improvements just like Vista->Windows 7, but none of which make any significant difference as far as game server hosting. They are mostly just small optimizations and enhancements to usability.
