gemcneill
I was playing in some CODWAW servers and I saw people typing in command to bring up stats. After doing so searching I found out this is a stats program that has to run on the physical server the game server is on or at least pull logs via ftp. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. I would assume it would require a server to host these stats and then have some type of automated ftp connection to download the ftp files or have a constant ftp connection. Also is there a better stats program out there for the COD series?
studeggle
Database is typically stored on the webhost with all stats programs. A cron (or scheduled) task is setup to ftp to the game server and dowload the logs at set intervals. The logs are then parsed and information stored in a database for generation of the stats. There are several stats programs out there, and many do have addons that can be used to display stats in game. Which is better is all a matter of preference. GodFather
+1 to Studeggle I'm running my own stats system for Source. Granted most people use HLSTATSX. I prefer my own but I'm biased.. haha http://www.iRadic-eSports.com/stats
