CentOS Lower Timings

[FPSGAME]

Hey guys,

 

Ive heard alot of people say that in order to get css 1000fps servers you need 2 things:

 

1. Linux CentOS

2. Lower OS Timings

 

I am wondering how to go around lowering timings now that I have a Dedi with CentOS.

If your looking at adjusting the linux kernel timer you can view some info here:

You also need to find out what kernel version your system has to see if you can adjust the timers and if you've never did this before I would suggest hiring somebody that knows what there doing or you'll be reinstalling your Centos distribution all over again. To check your kernel version type:

 

uname -r

2.6.18-128.7.1.el5 (version)
