We all loved cod 4.. and we all pretty upset about the IW.net and no ds support.

a friend told me he has read an epic answer from IW, a dude was asking them "wtf did you make a console port only?"

 

IW answered : "no we added mouse support, gfx settings and chat"

 

WOW

 

Yeah that was from the official Best Buy news conference, amazing huh.

I was disappointed with the way they handled the Steam release. Those who preordered the game on Steam days, weeks or even months in advance still have to wait another 48 hours after the retail release. Meanwhile there are already playable cracked copies floating around on torrent sites...

 

I was trying not to make a big deal about the changes they made to the PC, but man making those of us who PREPAID on Steam wait an extra 2 days was just a slap to the face.

I bought COD4 on Steam, and I was always a day or so behind patching. Its nothing new.

Me too, but that was expected as the game wasn't integrated with Steam. Slightly different situation this time. Retail users MUST use Steam, so obviously they do have the playable version on their servers... in fact, most people already have it preloaded (encrypted and unplayable obviously) on their hard drives. Right now there are 70K people playing MW2.. those that bought from a retail store. So I've come to the conclusion that the world's best troll works as an executive at Activision.
