dimitrifrom31
Was wondering if TCA was doing something about illegal companies using their panel, thats just a question, dont wana start a debate, was just wondering if you disable their license or not since they can give ur product a bad name when (and they all do) close their doors. DougK94
Kind of difficult for them to do as many clans also use TCA for their dedicated server or servers.
Steven Crothers
Pirating TCAdmin would require quite a technical know-how. If they are smart enough to do it, they are smart enough to prevent it from getting shut off.
dimitrifrom31
its not about piracing TCA but using it "legally" with illegal purposes (ie illegal business). not that hard when u got the domain name TCA is hosted on or a link to the TCA web panel onto the company website. ofc would have to anounce when purchasing if thats for business or for ur clan and the clan version should have less features such as billing api removed Asking it cuz the tons of illegal companies borning (and dying), they arent a real threat but since they make low prices (thx to not paying taxes, licenses, etc) then customers think legit companies prices are too high. Your always going to have this, anybody can spend 50 bucks on a domain, web site, ssl, billing software and a TCA master license and start selling game servers. As long as you provide quality service at a reasonable price I wouldn't waste my time complaining about illegal or "pop up" gsp's, hosting companies, etc. This happens in all types of businesses not just Game Hosting and it's probably never going to end. Steven Crothers
I totally thought we were talking about "Cracking TCAdmin Illegally" and not "Unregistered Business".... TCAdmin shouldn't be bias to who they sell to in my opinion, since this is their money maker, why say who can and cannot buy it? I know if I owned TCAdmin, I would run it just like they do now. trancemode
This is almost the same topic as.. buying a game and pirating a game or buying a movie or pirating a movie or music. everyone does it.. well atleast everyone DOWNLOADED a music/movie (pirate) before. and there isn't much way to stop them.. the best thing is to just ignore them and move on

I know if I owned TCAdmin, I would run it just like they do now. well i know it wont stop, I was just assuming that TCA staff may do something to not let illegal hosts using their panel as they use their product with illegal purposes and most likely poor support/quality. Ive seen a topic about GSP's advertised on TCA page, that they were selected on some "strict" criteria to not give a bad image to TCA so I just thought if they care about image they may care about those ruining it. Thats annoying legal GSP's on one side and TCA staff on another so I was just wondering if they were doing something about it or not. then take it as a suggestion for TCA2 : would be really nice if you could make 2 versions : the "full" one for verified GSP's (requesting for some basic proof of ur legit existence should already keep most of the wanabe GSP's away) : could check their status for their master licence. And a lighter one without Billing API/automated setup, datacenters support, game switching, support tickets system, news system... reserved to clans. I honestly think that would be a good + for legal GSP's and I personaly would be ok to be charged a lil more knowing that any wanabe GSP cant get the same tool as the legal and respected ones.
