CSS 100tickrate?

Hello,

My servers are not 100tic and I'm not sure why.

Here is what my command-line looks like,

-game cstrike -console +ip 213.190.160.150 -port 27022 +maxplayers 24 +exec server.cfg +map surf_greatriver_xdre4m -tickrate 100 +fps_max 1000

 

and here is what my server.cfg looks like,

sv_maxrate 30000

sv_minrate 25000

sv_maxupdaterate 101

sv_minupdaterate 50

sv_maxcmdrate 101

sv_mincmdrate 50

fps_max 1000

 

 

I did try using this "http://clients.tcadmin.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&catid=5&id=2" but the link in there dose not seem to work.

Download and run the following on your server..

Also change your command line so +maxplayers is at the end, this will prevent users adding variables to their config file to change slots.

this is for fps whereaas he talks about tickrate.

also if your hosting these servers

make sure you are using window server 2008 and hpet enabled

to reach 1000fps

also if your hosting these servers

You won't reach 1000fps on Windows Server 2008 at all if your command line is "+fps_max 1000" you'll reach something like 600-800fps.

 

If you want it to be at 1000fps on Windows Server 2008 you must put the fps_max at 0

 

And for your question about the ticks you should try the Source Ping Booster like "Dan M" said.

if ppl cant stand 100 tick then they will just leave the server.

As for your values if you use such a low min rates then every1 on the server will have insane chock.

dang.. that is sad.

 

if people can't handle that..

either they are still running pos p2

or playing on 56k =/

 

atleast today.. i think everyone is running atleast DSL minimum of 3 or 5-6 meg with upload of 1-2

 

and atleast a duo core or quad core for gaming.
