Script to Run Servers as Basic User

I used the first method from this link...

http://clients.tcadmin.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&catid=15&id=37

and set it up properly as far as I know. However, it shows the processes being run by UserName SYSTEM. This should be showing the UserName in task manager as my basic user account I have setup if done correctly right?

Yes but the services have to be restarted in order for the new user logon to take effect.

And that method is for new servers only, it doesnt apply to existing ones.

To check whos the user running the servers check your services list instead (services.msc).

Note that with the method you mentioned the user has to be created first manually and be granted full control over TCA Services folder and UserFiles folder.

Inconvenient of that method is that all the services are ran by the same user too, that was the mthod I was using before and had some issues with it, nothing big tho.

Yeah, I was trying to get your script working to make it use an account for each service, but the script to update existing services didn't work on server 2008.

you mean the .tcascript to run install scripts again?

or the install scripts themselves ?

If thats install scripts you can copy paste contents into a .bat file adding a pause at the end and replace variables by values to run te bat manually and see possible errors.
