IBeGaming
For those of you who dont know what "SEO" is, it is "Search Engine Optimization." SEO is a very good way to get a better "Pagerank" on google and other Search engines such as bing and yahoo. "Pagerank" is basically where your page rates on a scale of 1-10. This is all dependent on your SEO skills. You can have the most popular site out there and best looking but you may still only get a 0/10 ranking on Pagerank for SEO. To have search engines hit your site and give you a good ranking you need to have good SEO, a few good examples of good SEO is - URL's - When creating an HTML Website use a more relevant URL. Bad URL - http://www.yourdomain.com/2.html (maybe this leads to your gameservers page) Good URL - http://www.yourdomain.com/gameservers.html -------------- Bad URL - http://www.yourdomain.com/htmca.html (Maybe your trying to tell people how to make candy apples) OK URL - http://www.yourdomain.com/howtomakecandyapples.html Best URL - http://www.yourdomain.com/how-to-make-candy-apples.html -------------- Search Engine Submission You should go around to different search engines and submit your website. This will help them be picked up / indexed faster. -------------- "Link Swapping" Link swapping is one of the best ways of SEO. Take a banner or even just make a post on a very popular website. Getting your site on a banner on webhostingtalk will help you out more than you could believe. How does this work? Well.... lets use webhostingtalk for an example. WHT is a very popular site that spiders crawl all the time to find new things, Once that spider finds your link it is going to take it back to the search engine sites and say "Hey.... I found a new link that needs to be added to the engine." -------------- Meta Keywords I no longer use the Meta keyword tag on my pages as I have not found it helpful. -------------- Javascript JavaScript will actually penalize your rating for search engines because the bots cannot read it, the less java on your site... The better.... I hope this helps somebody who would like to start building sites or working with SEO. Regards, Chris

NightLinks
One that I like doing is submitting to directories like DMOZ ( Hard to get into ) and others. There isn't much SEO value but is a linkback to your website.
