Derek
Hi there folks, I just started using Fire Daemon for our voice server machines (great for the ts3/ts2 service daemon) as I really like some of the features such as the auto restart / logging etc. Who here uses it and for what ? Kriszx
I have been using it for years. Back in the day, for everything. Now just voice servers.

That's fair, do you not use tcadmin for voice servers ? or do you use it for the 2 teamspeak daemons like we do ?
adamnp
Had many clients that utilize this on dedicated servers instead of paying for TCA, or something similar. Worked great with many different server instances. As long as you keep things tidy and non confusing, it does what it is supposed to with minimal ease. Mark9000
I used FireDaemon for about 2 years before i moved to TCA. The reason i moved to TCA is becuase i needed something to help me give out ftp and restart/stop/start in a easy way. But over all FireDaemon did what it was suspose to untill i needed to switch. dimitrifrom31
ts2 and ts3 servers run just fine using TCA, im even running the ts2 antiflood daemon under tca as secondary app.

Kriszx
That's fair, do you not use tcadmin for voice servers ? or do you use it for the 2 teamspeak daemons like we do ? Yes, but I still have tca control the install/start/stop clients servers. When I switched to TCA, it was just easier for me to leave the ts the way it was setup. Makes updates a breeze also, all from one screen.
lpgservers
Any particular reason?
Kriszx
Just something I am comfortable with. No major reason.
lpgservers
What I mean is why are you guys using Firedaemon at all versus just TCAdmin? I mean I have the exe setup through TCAdmin to auto restart, stop, start, and then give the Staff that don't have desktop access the ability to see the logs through TCAdmin. bullfrog3459
Firedaemon is awesome, like many i started using it 5 or so years ago back and we slowly moved everything over to tcadmin. I also keep firedaemon for our voice servers and anything else that i run globally on that server that i need or want to start up with the server as a service process. Just something i feel comfortable with and its proven stable and reliable, why move from something that works just as it needs and its suppose to? Since i have been using firedaemon, i have not had a single issue of running the srcdsfpsboost tool globally on the server, the voice daemons, for awhile until we moved to another, our secondary FTP program, and a few other things. lpgservers
I use TCAdmin to create the service for the exe and then I'm notified of any issue. Granted, I haven't had a crash yet with it so it's a bit of a mute point...

SickPuppy
Used it 4 or 5 years ago and loved it, moved on to TCAdmin, too many limitations in Daemon
bullfrog3459
well really the limitations have been greatly improved with their advances in the scripting they use now. I like having my TCAdmin run my game servers and what not and then i still run my ts2/3 daemons and srcdsfpsboost off of firedaemon. I however normally get just firedaemon and not trinity, but i get their free panel fusion *beta still* to go along with it to manage; but its been really awesome so far. For the few other services i run through FD i can see how they are doing or restart them with fusion and not have to log into the server and use up that 256mb of ram thanks to windows and poor optimization of RDC. lol I am thinking the difference for most of you is that you see it as a cost to run as i think its 49 a license per server. 100 servers, $4900 just for firedaemon, but thanks to them for the unlimited FD Pro licensing so that i dont have to worry about having to keep track of all of those individual licenses =D
