So i went into my gaming services clicked on a game then saw Game Updates

i clicked on it i saw 3 options 1. Latest Steam Update 2. Steam update #40 and Update37 i click on all of them tells me

The update has not been installed. Patch files do not exist.
So Game Updates only shows up if the game needs a update correct? This is for steam updates so you don`t have to use hlds.

My second question is how can i create a user or sub-admin to login or use ftp to use one server i asgined him a server i tried to login with it did not work.

For your second question, Make you sure you the TCADMIN FTP Server Configured.

Admin Home > System Settings > Plugins FTPSERVER

For your first question

Havent done much with that. But i do know if you have it configured rite your clients/users can update their servers without your help.

Maybe somebody else can shine some light on this.

Question 1 : Is your patch in the folder "C:\GameInstall\YOURGAME\TCA.Patches" ? If not, you will not be able to install any patchs. Also, make sure your patch (.Rar/.Zip) as a good and valid file path for your update because otherwise, it will install anywhere.

Question 2 : You have to set up your permission in "Admin Home > System Settings > Plugins > FTP Configuration" and to create your FTP account, you have to go in "Admin Home > FTP Accounts" and click on NEW.

Admin Home > System Settings > Plugins > GameMonitor Configuration

Allows you to monitor slots and you choose the punishment level

You create the patches, and you place them in a folder "tca.patches" in the root of each game you want to have update using one of your patches.

There is monitor which notifies you but leaves any additional action up to you. Then in addition you may check disable. Which is what we do as it means they must wait a few minuets on a support ticket to get service back if we so choose.

The patch files are a compressed collection of all updated files. If you simply with to use hldsupdatetool (for those games that support it) simply check enable for users under hldsupdatetool settings on game config for tcadmin.

With L4D2 even if you force it via server.cfg commands, they can still switch the gametype in teh lobby. There is no nice way to disable the gametype modes for the L4D2. If it changes to versus, it should go to 4 slot versus and if the server changes it to 8 slot it should be shutoff by tcadmin because its a slot change.

I dont have any issues with my L4D2 servers, no one changes mine but i have them set at 8 and 16 slots respectively anyways. Someone on here might have a way around this but i dont think there is a way.

no not in-game i mean through Admin Home > System Settings > Plugins > GameMonitor Configuration how you check disable if someone tries to do something ex: change slots it will disable there server [uSER], but i dont want it to do that for mine [ADMIN] Because in l4d2 it thinks someone is changing the slot # and then disables it. I don't need that for my servers only users.

There is no per person override, you can override it per game type in part or whole by doing the following.

Full override change game compatibility to none (blank) this will turn off the ability for tcadmin to monitor that type of game.

In partial you could add additional slots to the allowed additional slots box so that when it changes it still remains within the tolerance level for that game so doesn't get killed.
