Counter Strike Source Server Problems

Okay, I've looked around for the answer to my question to no avail. The problem I am having is using TCAdmin to create my source server, the server creates, says it's running and in working order. Except when I try to join the server or add it to favorites it says 'server not responding'

Now, I am wondering if this has something to do with Valve's addition of the 'OrangeBox' folder inside the source install? This seems to be new to me. (I used to sell servers and what-not a few years back and never had this problem, and I can't recall seeing orangebox in there before.)

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

srcds.exe is now located inside orangebox becuase it is now the orangebox engine not the source engine so valve moved it to avoid problems with mods written for source trying to be installed on a base set of orangebox.

If you are running an orangebox game (DODS, CSS, GMOD, TF2, DIPRIP, age of chivalry, obsidian conflict, synergy, zombie panic, ... ) then your executable path, and relative working, are set appropriatly (IE to the orangebox folder)

If you are running a source game (dragonball, paintball, ballmen, deathmatch, dystopia, PVK, hidden source, insurgency, ship, ...) then you must download source files not orangebox files.

So the key is make sure you have the correct files for the game you want, and make sure the paths for the game are all set correctly.

And once again for all to read, "running" on the control panel does not mean in any way that the game is running, just that the service has been started. The service then tells the game executable to start given the parameters it was given but if those parameters are incorrect the game won't start even though the service is running.
