[Poll] Question about Toll Free Numbers

In your opinion, how well recognized is 1-877 as a toll free number? I just picked up a custom 1-877 as it was the only toll free option that had the word I needed to match the Google Voice #... Am looking into buying the 1-800 off the owner if he is willing and am deciding whether to do it now.

If you asked this 10 years ago I might have said not that well known...however now 1-800, 1-888, and 1-877 are all really well known.

 

This is assuming an adult and not a child. Children won't necessarily know of the different versions of the toll free numbers nearly as much as an adult since everything we have business/dealings with predominantly have a toll free and the majority of which that I dial are not the 1800 variety.

Not really a problem to put "toll free" text somewhere around the number on the other hand.
