studeggle
This has been discussed a couple times, but I don't think its ever been written for the simple fact that most people buying or setting up a dedicated game server want it on all the time. They don't want to have to go start it up every time they want to play. If you're a clan I'd say you'd have to pay someone to write it for you, but consider the fact that your game servers are likely to never become popular if they shut down when they go empty. If you're a GSP I'd trash the notion as its likely to trash your business.
dimitrifrom31
actually such a script could be used to sell servers at a lower cost, keeping a standard offer ofc. I was requested to write something similar but it would need more time than what i can spend on it.

studeggle
It doesn't but usage times are generally all about the same time, so all your doing is shutting down during off peak usage and while it doesn't need to be on, there is still the expectation it should be so you have to justify to the client why they should have to go turn it on when they don't with your competitor. Feel free to go down that road, my personal opinion after crunching numbers(and several agreed I think as the topic lost all attention) was I wouldn't use it even if it was already a feature of tcadmin let alone pay to have it added. Whether that pay be in house or out of house.
