Video Blew My Mind

I have to post this video from youtube. This video blew my mind.... I could never imagine doing this for a living. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQv-o5Kgbko Keep in mind the video is being taken off the internet so you might have to just search "Stairway to Heaven (Climbing Towers) " in youtube. Its nothing gross or stupid and is most definitely worth a watch. Lets hear some feed back on how much someone would have to pay you to do this!

PS. Watch it from start to finish

I would be able to get up to the last 60ft :p

as that last poll ladder did not look all that strong to me, might of just been the way the camera was moving around

I've done radio towers and that's as high as I ever want to go, actually higher but its already done.

I sure hope they use long life light bulbs up there, hate to have to make that climb regularly just to change a light bulb. Can you imagine that help wanted add.

Skill set:

Ability to screw in a light bulb

Zero regard or concern for the laws of gravity :p

the insiders trick though is you don't really climb these towers; I've gone up WCTX TV 26 tower here in CT, which is around 1600ft and I've climbed hundreds of cellphone towers as well for inspections. The larger towers though have a seat apparatus attached to a winch that pulls you the majority of the way up to a landing deck, at which point you can climb to whichever level platform you are working on. The shit your pants part is how much those things sway up there. Tower crane operators got it worse :p
