Gemini
Here I am doing my own thing when I get a message on steam saying "wanna earn some extra money fast! Go to the following link and create an account to recieve $50 and get $5 dollars for each person u refer http://www.paybox.me/r/gainingskills" I obviously don't click things like that and proceeded to block and remove this user. But was curious to what was and googled it. It seems Paybox Is a new payment processor? http://www.ryze.com/posttopic.php?topicid=1073972&confid=972 I'm not sure if this is old news or what, has any one heard of this ? studeggle
I'd suggest reading this and doing additional research before handing your information to this website. Looks like D.W. has come out from under his rock again. How quickly people forget his last scam of Greenzap. This one looks almost identical! Funny that paybox.me has relationship with sybox.com. Go on google = sybox greenzap = to refresh yourselves. Then try loading page paybox.de - at time of this msg it redirects to sybase. Scammers never change - their scams just get a bit more refined. This time he has taken a bit more effort in covering his tracks with whois guards on reverse ip checks etc. Sadly scammers tend to think they are smart, but really they aren't. There is me, & many others like me who have the ability & resources to see thru these guys & it is our responsibility to bring this info to the general public. Yes it is free to join, granted, but really nothing is free. eg watch your inbox be flooded with emails address personally to you, from people you have never ever communicated with. Maybe today, maybe in a month or even a year. - There is big money in selling email lists of opportunity seekers to online marketers. Next: the free money offered is NOT real money, - it is funny money (see T & C) on site. Along with many other out clauses for non payment in future. Next: Wait for the request for money (usually affordable amount like $99) so that funny money converted to real money & you become fully fledged member blah blah blah. All points listed above are common to the greenzap scam. For the propeller heads: Take a look http://www.robtex.com/dns/paybox.me.html Nice huh. If it looks like a turd, smells like a turd, then don't try to convince yourself that its chocolate!
