sArAkUzZa
Is maxrate in anyway related to latencies. I read that reducing maxreate on cod series (eg. from 25000 - 15000) could actually decrease ping What do you think about this? Is there any way to "optimize" ping (network changes or gs configuration)
studeggle
Ping is based off how long it takes to get from point a to point b and how long it takes point b to acknowledge so yes there are network and machine and gs changes that will affect ping. If a setting causes faster responce time it will reduce ping. If a network change creates a shorter path it will reduce ping. If a network change passes up congestion it will reduce ping as to exactly what changes should be done that's hard to say with no information onthe route or setup
Defcon|Rich
There are different ways to optimize for better performance as studeggle pointed out however outside of the various server tweaks much of that is assuming you have control over the networking gear your server sits behind and in front of. sArAkUzZa
Can you suggest some modifications that can be done on gs and machine to recive some better response time? DC Routing is probably main reason for good/bad ping
