Guest Unregistered
Hey guys - Just have a quick question. Also apologizing in advance if this has been answered before. I am building out a dedicated server and will be purchasing tcadmin. Now I'm not sure what to purchase. If I will be running tcadmin on one server to start, is it necessary to buy both master and remote licenses? Or can I just run the master server. I understand that enabling/installing IIS and MySQL will be required. The box that we will be installing it on is going to be a pretty nice box, Dual Intel Xeon 5620's with 24 GB of RAM. We will probably be running like 220 players at first between 7 or 8 servers. What is the best option for us here? Thank you very much for your time. Guest Unregistered
I'd also like to add that the server will be running on Windows 2008 64 bit. Does this post any additional problems?
Richard
You can just start off with the Master TCADMIN license since its all going to be on same box.
{-SMAKU-}_MotorMouth
W'08 64x will run fine. Some programs will have the same issues they have with Vista. So if you run Vista or W7 on your PC at home then it will not be a problem you will just do the same thing to the server.
Evcthosting
' 08 64 and 32 works great and you would want the Master Server for the Web Side/ Master Server and remote licenses for any additional remote servers you run.
