COD2 Problem

Hello guys.

I have a small problem with the game cod2.

The game works perfectly with version 1.3 but I have lag spikes that make the game ugly.

I read in the internet that the problem is punkbuster. In fact I have no problem disabling the punkbuster.

Obviously not a nice thing to disable the punkbuster so I wanted to ask if someone can tell me how I can fix the problem maybe with the controls.

I thank you for the help.

Lag spikes are commonly a client side issue. However if your using alot of scripting or anti cheat scans on the server this can affect client side performance.

- Try reducing the sample rate of the screenshots (Note using a sample rate of 4 means the screenshots are not valid for anti cheat submission) or disabling screenshots all together.

- You can also set a higher sleep value (500 is the maximum usually default)

-Reduce the CVAR scan frequency

Also, check "always start at cpu0" in order to force the server over all available cores, otherwise it will use cpu0 all the time.

Furthermore, turn off punkbuster and check if lags spikes are present, also there may be some issues with md5 checks with punkbuster.

If you have the availability to try and get hold of AON's server tools. That way you will be able to monitor PB scans ect. through the tool to pinpoint the lag.
