TCAv2 Linux: FTP | IPtables | Install Scripts

Hi All,

 

Have any of you made any progress with having TCadmin create rules in IPtables when new services are created/changed/moved/removed?

 

Currently by default TCadmin is not setup to configure IPtables rules for FTP and game services, but I understand this could be implemented using the "Custom Scripts" feature.

 

It would be useful to know what if any progress has been made by the devs and the community prior to me spending time covering what has already been done.

Use a custom script to do this. Extremely easy - if you need help try looking on WHT for someone to do it for you.

Not that I'm aware of, personally wouldn't purchase that script asphyx listed (At least without a proper website/area of business and support for it)....However, doing this on your own is quite simple with the functionality already in TCA, by simply adding some lines into the execute before start, and execute after end that can automate a majority of any security/iptables concerns.
