Updates can Require Mods

Mods can require certain updates, but updates cannot require mods.

Say a Minecraft user of mine wants to install Tekkit, they install it through the "Mods" section, then to update it they would go to the "Updates" section to update it.

I think it should work both ways. Mods can require updates and updates can require mods.

I understand that, but how are players supposed to update their mods?

I create update in mods. F.e. "SourceMod 1.4.4 -> SourceMod 1.4.5 update"
