What Are Ideal Server Specs for Source Games?

What should I aim for, as far as Server Specs, in order to get the best performance for the buck with Source Game Servers? I am using TCAdmin 2.0 and have been using these Dedicated Servers:

 

CPU: 2x L5420 - 4 Cores @ 2.5GHz

RAM: 8GB

HDD: 500 SATA

 

Only costs ~300 bucks to build. Hosts ~10 Game Servers and ~20 Mumble Servers each.

E3 series would be best.

We always recommend the E3 Series for Game Server Providers.

 

The L5420's are okay for Game Servers, especially if it's on a small scale as so for a Gaming Community, or such.

 

We have had some people host game servers on the L5420's and rent them out, and we have not heard any complaints.. However, again, the E3 series is always recommended!

Look at discounted servers on eBay, they're quite cheap. for that price you can get a Dual L5520 with 32GB of ram in a Dell Poweredge 1U chassis. supply your own drives and you're good to go.

E5620 or E52620 are very good If you're looking for a small Dedicated Server I would recommend the E3's
