I've seen servers up with more than 20 players! Is the player count controlled by the mode you set? I installed a 16 slot server, started it as 'competitive' and it launched with 10 slots...... Changed to 'casual' and it launched with 20 slots

Does anybody have a config for RO2? TIA

It's still going to be about 3 hours or more, it's coming down really slow - but it's still better than nothing at all from Steam! It's 8:30pm here in the UK, if you coulld leave it overnight (for me) I would really appreciate it

Still can't even get the server files from Steam Would anybody be kind enough to upload them somewhere so I could grab them?

Thanks Peace About the bandwidth error, I have read somewhere else the command line needs ALL the ports adding to avoid this.

The Steam servers are ramped, can't even download the server files By the time I get them hopefully somebody will have a working TCA config!!

So the server files are not available via hldsupdatetool? Any other means of downloading them - or do you have to own the game to get them?

I'm sure I read somewhere that multiple instances per dedicated server was confirmed - although obviously this doesn't state per IP. I still haven't managed to get hold of the server files yet, if anybody can put up a working config that would be much appreciated

Not much known about it right now, I am assuming we will be able to download/install the files using hldsupdatetool.

This looks like it could be a good game, let's hope they release the server files soon then, also looking at the OF forums a patch might be in order - but then what game lately hasn't been in need of a patch from Day 1?!! Here's hoping this is not another Wolfenstein...............

It looks like there are no dedi server files out for this (yet). Has anybody managed to upload the game to a server and create a working TCAdmin config yet? I have the game on order and am hoping to get this set up. TIA

You need to change si_pure 1 to si_pure 0 in server.cfg

You mean you have to install to only the primary IP of the server?

I've got the server running using the config from this post and Doom 3 compatibility, it returns status in TCAdmin but doesn't show in the server browser in game. I can connect by IP via console though. It is not a firewall issue. I also had an error message to start when trying to connect, something about pure files, I had to set si_pure 0 in server.cfg. Anybody got any ideas why it doesn't show in server browser? Or am I just being impatient and it will show eventually? Server has been running for about an hour now. TIA

No it's not, the CoD series yes, a lot of other games have the dedi server files released, as there was talk of that in this thread I merely asked if anybody had a link to them. Now shall we go back to what this forum is about - helping each other?

Thanks for the helpful comment I have bought the game, I won't have it in my hands until tomorrow though. If there is a release for dedicated server files then that makes it much easier than uploading the files from my game disk.

Anybody have a link for those dedi server files? I take it the one JasonF has linked to is just the patch?
