  1. not using msn, emails only

  2. I had a few yes, really not much though
  3. are you running on a quad core? for what I have reaad it seems to happen to ppl not running on quad core.
  4. Can you elaborate a little? Servers are working fine so far, only issues I had were due to steam update, looks like maxclients from command line does not override maxclients from config file.
  5. my servers are running on different Ip's; not only primary. the config Im using is similar to yours, ports are different though: port increment: 10 Server/query: 27015 rcon: 27020 custom1: 27016 custom2: 27017 auth port: 8766 Command line: +set dedicated 2 +set net_ip %serverip% +set net_queryPort %customport1% +set net_masterServerPort %serverport% +set net_port %customport2% +set net_authPort 8766 +set sv_maxclients %slots% +set sv_config server.cfg +start_map_rotate
  6. oh and btw when you run a steam update on server modified config files get overwritten by default files...
  7. I was reported that users are able to join a passworded server if they have firends on it using the join friend from steam. Assuming the only work around is to set your steam status to offline when playing on a private server. not exactly related to the config but I thought I should report it.
  8. did you try reinstalling one of these servers (basically u only have to backup config folder, reinstall and restore) test after reinstall before and after recovering config
  9. Updated mine to +set dedicated 2 +set net_ip %serverip% +set net_queryPort %customport1% +set net_masterServerPort %serverport% +set net_port %customport2% +set net_authPort 8766 +set sv_config server.cfg +set sv_maxplayers %slots% +set sv_maxclients %slots% +start_map_rotate where server/query/rcon ports are 27015 customport1 27016 customport2 27017 and its now working...
  10. running the server manually from a .bat its fine, running it from TCA it goes for 18 slots whatever is set... Exact same command line of course.
  11. I just figured out that sv_maxplayers is ignored, the server goes to 18 in TDM. Anyone else having the issue? edit: its sv_maxclients but its ignored anyway
  12. waht OS are you running it on? 2003 ? 2008? Are you running servers under localsystem accoun?
  13. as i said, sometimes. Restarting the server a couple of times solves it. Wondering whats the way to get it working fully through TCAdmin and not using the .bat as executable. Spitfire, whats your config? Weird thing is that if running the server manually with a batch server.cfg is loaded from "players2" folder. If running the server from TCAdmin its stuck on loading server.cfg If running server from TCA using .bat as executable server.cfg is loaded from "main" folder.
  14. they are the same. Dedicated only adds the executable
  15. if using the .bat as TCA executable server is working...
  16. iw5mp_server.exe +set net_ip XXXXXXXX +set dedicated 2 +set sv_config server.cfg +set net_queryPort 27015 +set net_masterServerPort 27014 +set net_port 27016 +set net_authPort 8766 +set sv_maxclients 18 +set sv_floodProtect 1 +set sv_maprotation maprotation +start_map_rotate note that my maprotation file is named maprotation and not default
  17. to downlaod file use a steam account owning the game. download the game then download dedicated files (will be only 4mb extra)
  18. the upstream seems to be a random bug, got it every now and then usually after 3 or 4 restarts it works. Problem is I can run the server manually with a .bat but not from TCAdmin (even though using the exact same command line). When ran from tcadmin its stuck on Executing server config "server.cfg"
  19. Hopefully not, took me hours to update servers and mods
  20. Dude not to waste your time and others, a minimum pricing would be around $50 for a very basic setup with a couple of games. waht takes time is to add different games and tweak the tcadmin module for some. not sure how is v2 going with WHMCS btw
  21. Just install the game on your file server so you can apply updates on it then create your zip updates. usually they are huge so you may want to add them into game mods as the game update will timeout. As for CO you indeed have to copy arma2 files over OA install, thats about 8-9Gb. nothing else to do, no command line edit or anything. there is plenty of info on BI forums to properly run and config a dedicated server
  22. http://www.nickdarnell.com/2011/06/terraria-the-auto-saving-server/ use it for "vanilla" to save the world every 10 minutes. Stopping server by tca will still make you lose whats in cache.
  23. just run the server using a batch and u ll see if theres any error. My 2 cents : have you installed directx on the machine?
  24. does the game nneed steam running in background? got an error steam related apparently
