according to the Valve site, it appears to be using SRCDS, so try making a couple of your TF2 / SRCDS config and make appropriate adjustments. I came here second to see if anyone had made one already whoops, here - https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Insurgency_2014_Dedicated_Server

I played around a bit with Percona here yesterday - both MariaDB and Percona are supposidly drop-in replacements, and indeed, once Percona is on, from my perspective, it appears identical - even console / shell / commandline parameters are identical. I did a restore from a recent TCA backup into a test environment with no problems so far... Should actually sign up for a trial license and try it on a closed test- environment

Greetings! I'm needing to start thinking about replacing my DB server that I'm using for TCA, and I was wondering if anyone here has played around with either Percona or MariaDB as alternatives to Mysql? While it isn't an absolute requirement to move to these alternatives, and obviously Mysql is still readily available and usable and familiar, It was a topic of discussion that came up with one of the developers in another department. Anyone played with either of them in conjunction with TCA? Percona - http://www.percona.com/ MariaDB - https://mariadb.org/

Problem is that i seem to that a dll seems to be simply missing from the whole pile; it runs as a bat file fine, but when piped into TCA, it all goes wonko...

I've gotten a basic one in running condition, but i have a peculiar problem when trying to start it via TCA, it comes up with a Steam initialization failure error. The AA:PG forums state that using a LAN IP address in the MULTIHOME section should fix it. But it still gets stuck. Funnily enough, when firing up the instance manually, everything works and it is visible and playable, but within TCA, it keeps on having the issue. Has anyone else come across something similar?

Game services getting stuck on "stopping" periodically?
Choc_Salties replied to Choc_Salties's topic in Windows Support
Sorry i havent replied in a while, but it does occur randomly, and frequency of actual machine restarts doesn't seem to make a difference. This will happen on instances that need a restart, or have a restart set for them, or even when doing a batch update, when the game servers would otherwise be running happily for days on end otherwise in some cases. This seems to have become more frequent since a recent TCA patch, and nowadays i have to RDP into the box to either restart the monitor process, or find the offending process and kill it. If the monitor is restarted, it doesn't always sort the problem out, but killing the offending process does. -
Got another peculiar hiccup that seems to be cropping up more and more - the game services willr andomly get stuck in a "Stopping" state, and the only way to get around it would be to either restart the TCA services, or if you know the PID of the offending game service stuck in the "stopping" state, to kill that. Is this a noted bug and periodic server restarts recommended?

SteamCMD not running with correct permissions?
Choc_Salties replied to Choc_Salties's topic in Windows Support
but here's nothing there - i had to manually run the SteamCMD with admin permissions for it to even start setting itself up in the first place - I'm sorry i dont have the original error, but itwas moaning about something or other, and if i ran it manually, it would simply crash out, along with errors about not being able to write stuff into the folder where it was set up. Ran it with admin permissions and it completed its update correctly. since then, i started getting those errors. SteamCMD already recognises the machine, as I set it up when doing updates manually prior to the support coming in, so its not that -
Greetings! I'm trying to get SteamCMD to function, rather than updating manually and zipping it, but whenever I run SteamCMD, it won't go through the update I'm getting errors returned when trying to make the update saying that no files were updated, is the installation up-to-date? I took a peek in the steamcmd folder, and tried running it directly, but it failed as well, only running if I forced admin permissions. I noticed that the permissions on the SteamCMD tools section is set a bit odd - only TCAweb is allowed to read anything, with all the others being specifically denied - is this right?

had me going for a while as well, eventually two of the smart guys on the list posted the solution and it was a Duuhhh! moment. Thanks!

Hi! This isn't so much of a bug at it possibly could be interpreted as a feature request. In TCA1, you could update multiple servers with Steam at the same time by going to game 1, press update; Steam Update window for that game would pop up, and you could continue doing other things, such as go to game 2, and do it again. In TCA2, the web interface stands still. I don't run servers for customers as such, it is more for using them myself, the servers are under my direct control. Could that "New Window" thingy be added to the Steam stuff like it is for mods and updates, like for non-Steam games?

Error - Access to the path 'App_global.asax.dll' is denied.

MY remotes didn't update, but after the master successfully updated, i ran the update again from the http component, which then properly updated the remotes after that... -

I got the same problem. I stopped the service, and ran the commandline update tool manually, which seemed to solve the problem on the master -
Steam update not working on remote server?
Choc_Salties replied to Choc_Salties's topic in Windows Support
Whoops, discovered a firewall issue within the network I was using, which was blocking the remote port - all works fine outside of that network... -
Hi There! I've just deployed my first remote server, and have transferred services onto the machine, but am having odd difficulties with the hldsupdatetool button not displaying results. On the master machine, the popup window comes up with no problems, and displays progress as it normally does. On the remote, I get a timeout error. I did have a problem with the server not having its firewall turned on when i started the remote installation with the initial deployments, but turning the firewall on now, and doing subsequent deployments, it works like a charm. So, which app needs manual clearance for the hldsupdatetool to show correctly? On an unrelated note, is there a way to do multiple steam updates on the page, using something like the "new window" button, like on the game deployment windows?
