  1. You realize when a raid array fails (complete failure) the data on the other drives is pretty much gone unless you only use RAID-1 - and even then that can also get corrupted.

It's not a backup solution, and I feel sorry for your clients since you seem to think it is.

    Indeed.

RAID =! backup solution. We run RAID-1 or 0 depending on the configurations of our SSD's with hourly images to a RAID-1/RAID-6 backup array depending on the size of the nodes.

We've actually saved a bunch of our clients a few times =)

  2. Hey Guys.

We're finally running tcadminv2.0 and an odd issue that we've found is that, once we just created a server, it doesn't want to create another one.

It gets stuck at Step: Bukkit 64 slots (2 of 2) at 7% and just stays there for however long.

Also why is it that some times you cannot uncheck the "automatic" box for ports?

PS: The previous servers have already successfully created.

Also we seem to be getting a bunch of

    at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Connect (System.Net.EndPoint remoteEP) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

    at System.Net.Sockets.TcpClient.Connect (System.Net.IPEndPoint remote_end_point) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

    at System.Net.Sockets.TcpClient.Connect (System.Net.IPAddress[] ipAddresses, Int32 port) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

    errors in tcadmin console.

Seems like it has something to do with minequery

  3. Hey hosts, we're currently having some issues with SAMP and tcadmin monitor. When a client tries to stop/restart a SAMP server too many times in succession or as well as uploading files at the same time, it causes an F4 bsod on our boxes running Server 2008 R2.

I'm curious as to if any provider has seen such a thing, and wondering what we're doing wrong. These boxes has passed various burn in tests and stability, and only our chicago that runs samp has these issues.
